Delivery

Treatment that
comes to you.

Sometimes the barrier to treatment is not the treatment — it is a shift that ends after we close, a car that will not start, a bad flu, or living forty minutes out of town. Argyle Pharmacy delivers prescriber-authorised take-home doses free of charge across Port Alberni and the Alberni Valley, discreetly and on a schedule you set. Witnessed doses are still taken here at the pharmacy.

What’s included
🆓

Free, always

No delivery fee, no minimum, no subscription. Distance should not be the reason someone stops treatment.

📦

Discreet packaging

Plain, sealed, tamper-evident packaging with nothing on the outside that identifies the contents. Your neighbours learn nothing.

🗺️

Across the Alberni Valley

Port Alberni, Cherry Creek, Beaver Creek, Sproat Lake and Coombs regularly. Ucluelet, Tofino, Bamfield, Parksville and Qualicum by arrangement — call and we will work it out.

🪪

Handed to you

Deliveries are handed to you in person with ID checked. Nothing is left on a doorstep or with a neighbour.

📅

On a schedule

Set a regular delivery day and time. We prepare in advance so a delivery is never the thing that runs late.

🤝

Carry authorisation coordinated

Delivery only works if your prescriber has authorised take-home doses. We will raise it with them for you if delivery would make treatment workable.

🔐

Safe storage advice

We will talk you through storing carries locked and out of reach, and can point you to a lock box. This is the single most important thing about having doses at home.

🩺

Still a real check-in

Delivery does not mean losing contact. We call to check how you are doing, and you can reach a pharmacist on the phone any day we are open.

How it works

Getting your doses delivered

01

Tell us what is in the way

Call 778-421-3333 and say what makes getting here hard. Transport, work hours, health, distance — all of it is a legitimate reason and none of it needs justifying.

02

We speak to your prescriber

Delivery requires authorised take-home doses. We put the case to your prescriber and coordinate the authorisation.

03

We set a schedule

You choose the day and a time window. We confirm the address and how you would like the driver to reach you.

04

Doses arrive

Prepared, labelled, sealed and handed to you in person. We log every delivery, the same as we would at the counter.

Common questions

Frequently Asked Questions.

No. Witnessed doses have to be taken at the pharmacy with a pharmacist present — that is what makes them witnessed. Delivery applies to take-home doses your prescriber has authorised. If getting here daily is not workable for you, tell us, because that is exactly the conversation to have with your prescriber.

Anyone with prescriber-authorised carries. In practice it is most useful for people working shifts, without transport, living outside town, or unwell. You do not have to prove hardship to us.

Yes. No fee, no minimum, no subscription — for OAT and for every other prescription we deliver.

Yes. Plain sealed packaging with no visible indication of what is inside, handed to you directly. Our vehicle is not branded with anything about your treatment.

We do not leave OAT doses with a neighbour or on a doorstep — ever. If you are not there, the delivery comes back to the pharmacy and we call you to rearrange. Give us a phone number you actually answer and it rarely becomes an issue.

Only with your written authorisation on file, and they will need ID. Talk to us in advance so it is set up properly rather than sorted out at the door.

Locked, out of sight, and out of reach of children and anyone else in the house. A dose that is a normal day for you can kill someone without opioid tolerance, and children are the most common accidental exposure. Ask us about a lock box — we will help you sort one.

We deliver across Port Alberni and the Alberni Valley regularly, including Cherry Creek, Beaver Creek, Sproat Lake and Coombs. Ucluelet, Tofino, Bamfield, Parksville, Qualicum Beach and Nanaimo are arranged case by case — call 778-421-3333 and we will find a way to make it work.

Yes, and most people prefer that. Blister packs, regular prescriptions and OTC items can all go out together.
